In the name of all things Divine
let us rejoice in our common beliefs
In the name of all things Divine
let us embrace in that which makes us the same
In the name of all things Divine
let us unite in the bond of love and friendship
In the name of all things Divine
let us accept each other simply for who we are
In the name of all things Divine
let us move as one heart, one mind, together
And in the name of all things Divine
let us illuminate this world with the brilliance of the light of God.

Tweaking!
December 10, 2009

Very happy to be in Fairfield, Iowa with so many friends and a fantastic group of folks dedicating their time meditating for world peace and coherence. My friend Phyllis Khare is now helping with my website so I can continue adding comments without erasing songs and pages! She is extremely adept where I am not!! Thanks to Phyllis. Be sure to check out her website.
Even though there has been a major storm here, I am enjoying very silent meditations and the creative effects on my songwriting. I think I finally have a melody for the song on the opening page – The Wish. I will try to put a very simple version on my fanpage on FB so you can tell me what you think. It will be my first project on my new synth when I get home next week. Very excited. Also I have a new video project I am going to work on for “More Than Enough for All” with a photographer from Fairfield. It’s perfect for this time of year when everyone’s attention is a little more on kindness and unity. Details to follow.
So happy to be writing again. Peace and love.

Coming together
November 15, 2009

I’m still trying to put all the pieces of this puzzle together! I now have the cd with CdBaby and every site they are connected to. I also have a site in London that I am going to join to hopefully get some exposure overseas. It’s a hard road to be an artist and a promotion expert! Anyone out there with good connections or marketing ideas…now would be the time to jump right in!!
I am having fun though watching how all of this unfolds!! Til next time…sweet dreams.

If you go to the Listen page and see only 2 songs and a lot of yellowish/gold it’s not a mistake!!! Well actually it is, but it is mine! Somehow when I was fixing the lyrics of all the songs I managed to disconnect something from something….so the great Jay I spoke about yesterday will have to come to the rescue tomorrow. The funny thing is I can still find all the songs but you can’t see them! Hah! Well just enjoy the videos for now!
I have a new one coming tomorrow and then I think I may just sit back and take a breath! My husband says I would just give everything away if I could – probably not the best idea!! So I am gently encouraging you to buy the cd – And to keep on watching and enjoying the videos…And to tell your friends if you are enjoying all this!
Then I can continue on this fantastic dharmic trip!!
Great full moon day..love to all…sorry about the songs..am so not a good techie!! but I am trying and having fun along the way!

Jay Johnson – the Great
October 31, 2009

Jay is the master behind this website. He has been so wonderful to work with and has exhibited incredible patience especially in dealing with my computer challenges!

Check out his work on his new website coming soon! I’l post it when he has it up and running!! So then, if you like what he has created here, maybe let him know!

Thank you Jay, a gazillion times!!!

Where is everything??!
October 29, 2009

By the time you read this, it means we are up and running! I still have a few things to add but I’d just like to tell you where everything is and possibly what to expect. All the lyrics are under the 1 minute song selections along with the origin of each song. The History page will be the story of how I came to this point and time. I will figure out where I’ll be putting blurbs of new songs and writings in process….this is all a giant step for me!! Any suggestions will be graciously received. I’m also thinking about a mailing list and maybe starting to play out some!! More of the unknown…but thanks for being here with me!

Now I need to once again thank the musicians and post who is playing! Mac Gayden plays mandolin, sitar and all guitars including guitar synth, secret guitar slide and dobro. For more on Mac, www.macgayden.com. Daniel Sperry is the amazing cellist! Find him at www.cellomansings.com.  Jen Gunderman plays all keys, harmonium and accordion! Tom Roady all percussion, tablas, and cajon. Steve Gorn,is  the brilliant bansuri flute player on Ya Devi, Pita Ji and Home  and he is at www.stevegorn.com. Tim Britton plays flutes on Jai Sita Ram ( listen to both versions, the 2nd is free on the site and features more of his playing!) and Tim at www.piedpiperproductions.com.  Mike Miller plays recorders on Shri Krishna. Ali Sperry sings background vocals. Her new group is www.sweetwaterrose.com. Daniel and Mac also sang some back-ups!

I wrote all the songs and had help from my dear friend Donna Lieberman Warwick on Guru Purnima Moon and Home and from Daniel on Light at the Door.

I feel happy now that I could give them all credit again. It was an amazing experience that I may write some about. Also, I’m not quite sure where yet, but I am going to write the my history and the history of all the songs!

This is such a great day and I really need to start this page with my Thank You’s! There is a group of incredible people who helped make this musical journey magical and real!! I think for today, I am going to copy the Thank You portion of the actual cd, so everyone gets to see that. So here it is:

THANKS FOR LIGHT AT THE DOOR

This project has been 30 years in the making so Thank You to everyone who has encouraged me all these years!!!

Thanks to Robin, Jesse and Jeremy for the studio. engineering and mixing.

To Phyllis K for all the listening. To Carrie M and Larry G, for Sanskrit alerts. To my nephew, Chris, a truly great soul and wonderful musician-recording artist, who walked me through this process and helped me tremendously with his insight and knowledge!!

To Girish ji for the truly kind words of support during the sessions.

To Juan and Kimberly for awesome photos, and graphics and styling!

To Donna for being there for that first song!

To my fellow Ghandarvans, especially: Steve and his divine bansuri flute, and Jen, who’s synth/piano/harmonium/accordion overshadowed even the finest chocolate truffles!.

To my celestial family:

Daniel, for writing with me and playing gorgeous cello forever!  Ali, our nightingale, for her sweet voice and harmonious ways.  Diane, for taking care of us and being the driving force behind the scenes.  And Mac, the Incredible Sculptor of Songs, who dances with the devas as his fingers fly over his guitars. To Barry, my P and P, for being with me and watching over all of us. To my teacher, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who started me on this journey and taught me the brilliant power of singing the universal language of Divine Truth! All love and happiness to our world family. Jai Guru Dev.
